Setting Course for
a Career in AV

Success is not just a goal, but a process and we are building a national careers gateway for the Audio Visual sector. To make this possible we will need help from the AV Industry.

We need the AV Industry to help make this happen

The future of AV is in all of our hands and collaboration within the AV Industry is key to launching NavigateAV. The timing is critical: skills shortages are intensifying, schools need credible employer links, and the AV sector requires a unified approach to attract and prepare its future workforce.

By uniting industry and education, building structured pathways and enabling employers to participate directly in skills development, we will fill a long-standing gap in a sector ready for transformation. To build coordinated programmes we need sponsorship funding, ambassadors, AV content & equipment for careers fairs and exhibitions, apprenticeship and workplace engagement.

The Solution in Action

Targeted School Engagement Programme

We deliver career activity teacher packs and AV career sessions to students aged 11–18, providing schools with solutions to fulfil Gatsby and PAL requirements.

Industry-Backed Career Pathways

AV companies provide real job examples, industry insights, and career stories, helping students understand roles, while reducing employers' time on outreach.

Digital Platform that Scales Nationally

Schools access a single digital hub with pathways, role explainers and employer links, replacing fragmented careers information with consistent national standards.

Measurable Workforce Impact for Sponsors

Companies gain visibility, early access to interested learners and reduced recruitment costs, as students enter the workforce with early skills preparation.

Business Model

The business operates as a not-for-profit national coordination hub that connects AV employers and industry partners through a unified careers and skills framework. Income is generated through a mix of corporate sponsorship, school programme fees, grants and, from Year 3, digital licence income, with all surpluses reinvested into delivery, digital development and national reach.

We design and deliver structured pathways, curriculum-aligned resources, employer encounters and ambassador programmes that make AV careers visible and accessible. Our model enables organisations of all sizes to participate without the burden of building their own outreach systems, while providing scalable, high-quality career experiences for schools, colleges, veterans and adult learners across the UK.
